A Shadow in the Corner
I don't believe in ghosts.
However, the concept is interesting.
I imagine that things that happen are caused by ghosts:
Doors shutting
as if someone who lost an argument passed by,
when I'm home alone
cold breezes like night air
in a room with no windows.
It’s fun to say that ghosts are to blame.
But,
Out of all those occurrences
there’s one thing in my life
I cannot blame on anything else.
It keeps itself quiet,
like an intruder in the night
It hides away,
dancing out of my sight.
At night
shadows in the corner of my room.
My room is caked in darkness
that corner is darker, almost vantablack.
Disappears when eyes linger.
The difference of shade
I almost lose sleep.
Almost, of course,
as we all know ghosts aren’t real.
