Dear Adults
Dear Adults,
You guys suck.
You’re mad at us
Because we’re not stuck
We have our whole lives
And yours are almost done
You resent us kids
Because we’ve barely begun
But yeah, I understand
Your lives are hard
Life has messed you up
Left you broken and scarred
But you need to get it in your brains
That we are not the same
Life will not destroy us
We know it’s not a game
Yes, you protect us
Get to tell us what to do
That’s because we’re just kids
We never think it through
It’s really not fair though
Because we’re not so far apart
If we could just stop fighting
It’d be better for your hearts
