Boys Don't Cry
How many times a week,
must I feel this pain.
How will I ever heal,
from what you’ve put me through.
When will you stop telling me you love me,
and show it.
When is the last time you made me happy;
I can’t remember it.
Around my heart you’re like a toddler with a toy,
laughing and giggling as you tear it apart.
But I can’t tell you that can I?
Boys don’t cry.
You talk about how I f***ed you up.
Take a moment,
at least try to see,
the amount of hurt you cause me.
You cut deep,
how deep? 6 feet.
Please I can’t take this pain anymore
I just want to take the plain
of my wrist and cut it.
Why don’t I,
you ask.
Boys.
Don’t.
Cry.
Boys don’t feel emotion,
like heartbreak,
or sadness.
That shows weakness,
boys aren’t weak.
“Man up”
“Grow a pair”
“How do you stand without a spine”?
I’ve heard it all,
I get it,
Nobody cares about how you feel.
Boys don’t cry.
Boys throw on a smile,
or act all tough.
When we get home alone in our rooms,
what do we do?
You’ll think I'm telling a lie,
because boys don’t cry.
We cry.
You can’t hear me
but i’m calling for help.
It’s whatever,
It’s my fault.
But in my bed,
all I do is lie,
because boys don’t cry.
