Beauty of Simplicity
It’s gorgeous, the way it glistens in the sunlight
The way it twinkles in the moonlight.
Everyone needs it to survive, but we take it for granted.
Feeling at ease because it calms your pain.
That’s what water does for me.
The beautiful ocean, the lazy river,
The smelly ponds, and the quirky lakes.
Everything matters and have their own identity,
Nothing is the same, yet not much different.
They make us feel a certain way,
Giving our hopes and dreams up.
Telling me everything will be okay, not to worry too much,
Telling me to turn the leaf over and start again.
To get over myself and help others grow up.
Water is what we all need, but is it what we want?
