The Night
The night
For half of it I lie awake
Wasting away inside
Thinking hoping dreaming believing
Of things that will never come
The light of day hurts me
The dark of night heals me
Pain some say
Life I believe
People say black equals death
White to life
I dream that whatever equals what we want
For we are our own creators
Create we may
Believe we do
People say life and death are different
But are they really
There's no line between
Our body simply ages
Our mind never changes
The soul changes never
For it only transfers
From body to body
Mind to mind
No matter where you may be
Feelings
Choices
Can you truly tell the difference
Or is it all the same
Do you lie awake at night
Thinking of all the pain
Do you stay alive in the day
Believing in all you can gain
Do you believe in fairytales
Are you villain or hero
Truly you are both
No matter who you may be
Yet people fight continuously
Day night day night
Light dark light dark
But who is right
To decide what is good or bad
Wrong or right
For we aren’t gods
Only flaws
