Lonely Smell of Night
The air smells like night
And a fallen rain
A hint of hidden despair
People are walking
Passing by
They do not have a care
They don't know what Is going on in the world
The problems in people's’ lives
The longing
The yearning
The sadness
The distant cries
They don't know what's wrong
They probably don't care
All that seems to surround them
Is clouds and air
They do not have a care
Not even a bit
And if the world began to slip
They'd be scared
There'd be no end
But we would not help them
We tried to warn them
They did not care
And now they hold
The sadness and despair
