Remember those years when all we wanted was materialistic possessions
And now what we need goes against all gift-giving transgressions
When we were young, it was art, books, and toys
Which transitioned into cars, makeup, and boys
But now what we need is something we should heed
And what gift-givers for adults should lead
Confidence, power, and wealth
Certainty, good fortune, and health
Not things that can be given
But still concepts that should be striven
In the yet to be riven unwritten gift-givers handbook
