There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature—the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter. —Rachel Carson

You burn our forests,

You kill our friends,

Will this torment,

Ever end?

You cut down trees,

You flood our home,

The place we used to,

Freely roam.

You make loud noises,

You scare us all,

We're scared of this place,

We used to rule.

And we'll ask you this;

And answer true,

What have we ever,

Done to you?

The author's comments:

I wrote this based on the animals that are effected by deforestation. I am passionate about this topic, in the knowledge that humans ruin whole places for their own selfish needs.

I wrote this for my friend to see but I want to know your opinion on it, please comment to tell me what you think.
