The universe must be a teenage girl. So much darkness, so many stars.

Cherry seeds plant in secret

Picnickers drop their cherry pits

Sweet pinky red luscious juice fruit

Opens to blue sky light.

Sometimes

You say a word

To nobody in particular

On a day

Leaving a wordseed in a person’s ear canal

Springing to life

And you’ll never know

A word is small

A word can fall

A word.

Turn down the avenue of the words,

Sweet words you’ve given me—

Turn straight down this avenue, turn left, baby,

You will find a tree in full bloom—

Cherry child

Pink cherries

Blooming.

A poem about how words that you fear and even believe mean nothing may actually change somebody's life.

Wow...I love the way how you talked about cherries...I hated cherries but after I read your poem, I really do feel to eat cherries...

As if an artwork on display
Of gears and hands
And wire-thin bands
That glisten in dim candle play." -Janice T., Clockwork[love that poem, dont know why, im not steampunk]
