Scared
I walk in the school hallways,
Delivering for the librarian
Suddenly,
The principal calls lockdown
I run through the corridors
and back to the library
I hide in a closet
and the principal calls
all clear
Later that night
I hear that nationwide threats
are upon our schools
Nobody will bring their backpack
on Dec 17th
Fear builds up inside me
About our nation
And whether
we are safe
