Self Hatred
I punch and I punch
the blood running down my hands
the burning deep inside me
I just wanna understand
The red that covers head to toe
That fights against an endless foe
Only decribed as a need for more pain
As I plead for someone to pull me away
This anger that I feel
It rushes to my head
That feeling of dread
I killed it, It's dead
I stuggle to win as the voices cheer me on
The battle im fighting will never be done
Their red blends with mine
Like a swirl of deep maroon
Limp and lifeless at my feet
I look down full of pride
Only to find the eyes staring back
Identical to mine

A description of the silent battle everybody fights, when picking out their outfit, sitting in your room crying about that grade, or scrolling through Social Media.
