Look around,

What do you see?

I see a society that cares more about what's on the outside, than on the inside.

A society that stigmatizes Depression, Anxiety, and Suicidal thoughts.

Instead of destigmatizing asking for help.

Because god forbid we ask for help.

And be seen as weak.

Our society says that men can't cry,

Because it's not masculine.

Our society says that women should be strong,

But no stronger than a man,

Because it's not feminine.

Femininity and masculinity don't define you as a person.

I see a society that speaks with hate.

Hate for people who have done nothing wrong,

Except be themselves.

Male, Female, Trans, Gay, Straight,

It doesn't matter in the end.

It's a fight that doesn't need to faught.

We have hate for people whose skin color is different than ours.

But why?

We are all made up of skin and bone.

Whichever way you choose to go,

Black, white, left or right.

We are all being screwed by the system that's supposed to protect us.

We need to stand together,

Not fall further apart.

We need to stop blaming people for what they believe.

We call Conservatives, Bigots.

And Liberals, Libtards.

But why? What does that get us?

We call Muslims, Terrorists.

And Christians, Bible Beaters.

But our difference in opinion makes us who we are.

We shouldn't place blame just because we don't agree.

If there's one thing we should agree on,

It's that our society is broken.

It's time to take a stand.

We need to speak up,

Because there are thoughts to be spoken.

Speak for change.

Speak for a better society.
