Wired Heart
Everyone has a story.
A secret to tell.
A pain they hide in their heart.
To not become insane is where we start.
Take apart my heart and see what's inside.
Put aside the hate
and crime,
because on the inside
I'm more than my past life.
You'll later find,
you've turned a blind eye.
Like a butterfly in a field,
you've appealed to beauty.
But only on the outside.
You've put up a wall that divides
the inside from out.
Like a drought of glee,
I’m tired.
Tired of feeling wired
to meet your required status.
Your words are like a cactus to my heart.
When you take apart my heart,
just know the start of this open wound,
was because of the broken world
I was swirled into.
