The Doodlebug
Roly poly ,
Compact and small.
A doodlebug ,
Two thorns , so tall.
Nesting by the sycamore ,
Chewing on a leaf.
As an autumn glee ,
Sits in the air.
For a melody far away ,
Lies wringing beneath the foliage.
And soon the fulgent moon sweeps in ,
Good night little doodlebug.
