A heart doesn't break all at once,
At least not all the time.
What happened to the intensity and ferocity
with which we once loved?
Does it disappear over time?
Does it settle into a pit below?
What happened to the fire
that literally set our souls ablaze?
Is it quenched
or does it burn till nothing is left?
How can we trust something
that ends just as suddenly as it begins?
How can we trust something
we were told was meant to last forever?
What is the dimension for forever?
What is the timeline for infinity?
What do we do with all the love left
when our hearts are literally breaking, tearing apart?
