You Do Not Deserve To Fix Me
I have never known what it would feel like to be loved by you.
Yet you feel so entitled to my love,
to my emotions,
to the best parts of me.
You treat me like nothing.
Trample me like I am nothing.
Break my heart like it is nothing.
Pretending is so much easier.
You will never see the cracks in my exterior.
You will never see the pain.
You will never see the way my heart breaks into millions of pieces.
You will not be the one that fixes me.
I know that now.
You will not be the one I run to.
I know that now.
Still my heart yearns to be loved by you.
Even though I know you will not love me the way that I deserve,
Even though I know I deserve so much more.
