Still here
I’m still here.
Under all the messy baggage,
the grief,
trauma,
the misery.
I’m still here.
I’m still me.
The girl who supposedly lit up the room when she entered,
the person who would burst out laughing in the middle of class,
the daughter who prided herself in straight A’s and academic success.
Yet somehow along the way,
she lost it.
The contentment,
the exhilaration.
But I'm still here,
She’s still here.
I’m just slowly wandering,
trying to find her again.
