Shadow
Sometimes I feel as if I am a lurking shadow,
The dark one who contrasts on the bright white snow.
Ever so cautious of the words I speak,
Trying to not stand out but not come off as too weak.
Fictitious realities engulf my mind.
I am not naive, but it seems like I am blind
To every hint people send towards me,
To every notion that I cannot perceive.
I am trying to find my way in this cruel world
Full of jumbles of chatter and never ending words.
I love creative writing, especially poetry, song lyrics, and stories. Here is an example of a short poem that I have recently written.
