Five Pimples

five pimples are enough
to make me feel ugly.
all of my self-confidence
and love of taking photos is suddenly gone.
bright red. around my mouth.
they make me look like all I do is eat.
I wash my face. I do.
but it’s not enough.
I preach the importance of self-acceptance
but yet, I can’t accept myself.
when I have
five pimples.
