I woke up to an empty bed

Blood orange seeping through the curtains

I was alone

I was craving a grande Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte

As the cool breeze cracks open my door

I sat and pondered on how Abraham Lincoln would feel about Starbucks

I thought he would say it is mediocre

It was not summer anymore,

My days were not spent on Okauchee Lake anymore

But one thing that stayed consistent through all four seasons

Taylor Swift.

Taylor Swift reminded me of a pink flapjack octopus

The one from Finding Nemo

Sweet and loving, yet powerful and bold.

I’m hungry now- pancakes and scrambled eggs sound lovely.

I gambled with my thoughts, to get up or not to

Because I am still alone.

Numbers repeated in my head over and over as the sun gets brighter and brighter

3.14159 2653589

Suddenly, I heard,

“Hola! Como estas!” coming from outside my window

It reminded me of my first kiss with the boy from Spanish class

I looked down to the street to see two friends greeting each other

I looked to my left to see the stormy sky.

I turned on my music, the first song is Romantic Homicide.

I am sick of waiting patiently for someone that won't even arrive

I sat in agony dredging that I am in this bed alone

I felt like Vincent Van Gogh

So in love, willing to do anything for someone who simply doesn’t. care.

I hate the way you say my name

I’m so salty for what you did to me

I’m longing to leave

Get out of this house

Be a Forensic Psychologist

Helping whoever I can

I jumped out of bed

Put of my Court Visions

And I’m out the door.

I couldn’t stay there.

My mind flows with superfluous thoughts of anger which fuels my motivation

Like a dragon, you blew fire all over my life

I hate you.
