The Endless Expectations of Teendom
I am but a mere child of age thirteen
I cannot fulfill the expectations of every pre-teen.
I'm not popular or cool,
nevertheless stuck in this murky blood pool.
An hourglass figure and clear skin is all I'm asking for.
I'm done quarreling with society for my larynx is extremely soar.
No makeup can conceal the spirit within me,
I will fight back and if you don't believe me go ahead and see.
Spotify is none other than my therapeutic persona acting like a harbor in this gruesome storm of life.
They say life's a rollercoaster but my heart feels like a burning toaster.
There's a raging fire in my heart,
that needs the purest water to depart.
Will you be the extinguisher to my burning flame?
Oh, when will I ever find my dearest James?
No good grades can save me now,
from the purgatory of tiresome teendom.
Oh, almighty one,
please grant me my prolonged freedom!
