Autumn Blessings
The crunching of leaves beneath my feet
The forest is alive with color
Leaves of red, orange and yellow
Drift through the sky
A breeze swooshes around me
Bringing the smell of freshness and life
The scent of the trees floats through the air
Grass tickles my ankles as I stroll down the path
The birds are gathering food
Getting ready for the winter ahead
The sky is blue broken by clouds
Crisp and white and fluffy
Looking forward to cider and pie
At home in my toasty kitchen
A blanket around my shoulders
And a book in my lap

“Grief,I've learned is really just love. It's all the love you want to give but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part in your chest. Grief Is just love with no place to go.”
