Does the Ocean ever Calm?
Does the Ocean reach calm?
Being so vast with great depths.
Waves that constantly crash.
Violent and dangerous, yet beautiful.
Filled with life that never sleeps.
Tell me Ocean do you sleep?
Currents sweep away, anything in its path.
It must be draining.
Keeping all those boats afloat.
For if you let them sink you'll be blamed.
We act as if we know you.
We don’t.
Tell me Ocean, what secrets do you hold?
For your deepest depths haven’t seen the sun.
Mysteries about you are endless.
You're just a restless beast of beauty.
So tell me Ocean, have you experienced peace?
Or is your peace found in your violence.

I find the ocean very interesting. We know so little, so I'm constantly wondering about it. It has so much beauty, mystery, and dangers. I love the ocean and wish I knew it's feelings. This is also my first public piece.
