What you made me
Wilting like a flower
Used to be bright, beautiful, and growing
You picked petal by petal till there were none left
Always criticized and judged
Your opinion was always right
Now I'm trying to grow back
I'm not there yet but I will be
Reminders of you go through my head
It will always feel like a stab through my heart every time I hear your name
But every day a little less
Little by little
I will grow again
Into a bright, beautiful flower
And you will lose your power over me

when I wrote this poem I was in a real hard place. I was falling apart but then I realized everything would get better and brighter again someday.
