Me
My headphones lie over my ears,
while strolling through the blue door to the weights,
as I glance at my peers.
The barbell placed down on the platform,
loaded with two forty-kilogram plates,
and two five-kilogram plates ready to swarm.
“It is too heavy!” he yelled as I smelled revenged.
Walking wobbly to the hulking barbell,
“If I couldn’t, then you definitely can’t” he pledged.
With all my might and strength,
The barbell slowly up to my knees which went well,
Until I fully hit the max length.
His jaw dropped as I plopped to the ground,
Then my friend comes over to me,
Helps me get off the mats and pats my back as I gaze around
