Sister Relationship
My sister left for college last week.
I think she took a piece of my heart with her.
I took the stuffed animal from her bed
and a sweatshirt she left that still smells like her
I've cried every day since she left.
Ill never live in the same home as her again
It feels like yesterday that I was making smores and fighting whose was more tasty
It feels like last night we were laughing at old videos of us.
that mom woke us up to tell us to quiet down
and took our phones as we were still laughing
Wasn’t it just last week that she helped me with my friend's issues?
Weren’t we just kids?
Aren't we still?

I was very emotional writing this piece knowing that me and my older sister will never live together again. She is my best friend and I enjoyed writing my poem about her.
