I want like the grass
I want like the grass
I want/like the grass/to be
Forgetful,
and at peace/with movement.
The shape of your body/the outline/
not a priority/but imprint/only.
I want/movement/to not stir me.
I don't want to be/disturbed/only at wait/
I don't want to wait/for you/any more—
But I want/like the grass/to be always there/
Ready to receive your fall/and hold.
I envy her/calmness—
The way she is cut/and cut/and cut.
I envy also/the way you put your body on her/
The way she caught you/elbows in the mud/
Coming down/off acid/and held.
I want/like the grass/to be
Kind,
and not let green jealousy/cut me.
But some nights/I want/I like the grass/to be
Forgetful,
and always moving/on.
