Winter Days
The leaves on the trees
Fall so slow,
Like fragile feathers
Drifting in the air
The light brown bark,
Filled with tiny holes
And small crevices
The bare trees with no life,
Standing in the cold winter air
The squirrels scampering,
Forging far and wide
The birds humming,
Searching for a mate
As I sit on a bench,
Enjoying the world around me unfold
