The garden must have all kinds of flowers - APJ Abdul Kalam

The ability that I possess

A strength or a curse...

It's true I must confess

For it just made everything worse...

I asked for protection

Not stone turning gaze...

Now staring at my reflection

I'm stuck in a haze ...

The snakes on my head

Keep on squirming...

And each day I dread

That I am forgetting...

Forgetting how it was

Being a human...

Forever trapped in twisted laws

Converting into a rage filled demon..

I fear I'm losing my sanity

Only wanted to pour devotion...

But ended up losing my chastity

And got an unwanted commotion...

I was just an innocent being

Somehow got entangled...

In the war of two divinities

And was thoroughly trampled...

What was my fault?

I ask again and again..

Why the peace had a sudden halt

And was replaced by unending pain?...

The author's comments:

Medusa speaks is a poem from  the perspective Of medusa, a character from one of the stories in greek mythology.

It's a little interesting when writing the poem from someone's perspective because it makes one wonder how it would've felt.

The same thing I tried to do here. This is a character who was innocent but then too punished.

I hope the readers enjoy reading this as much as i enjoyed writing it.

All in all, I'm looking forward to reviews from your side. After all, constructive criticism helps other improve...

Thanks again..
