Free Verse Poem: {Your Smile}
The same smile that adores your features
I came to resent.
Every time our eyes meet
I can't help but be reminded of
Everything I'm not
Everything I was told to change
For you to stay
Yet here you are now,
still looking at me with stars in your eyes
As if no tears were shed

Sometimes you just have to let go (even) if it hurts.
