A Beautiful Apocalypse
The day that the world ended was the first day I saw the sky.
It stretched over my head,
wrapping around our planet like
a shield against the darkness of Beyond.
It was a dark bloodred, and frantic black clouds
zipped across it
as the wind fled our lands.
Pieces of the sky seemed to
fracture
and
tip downwards,
almost like shattering glass.
It reminded me of my heart.
I thought it looked beautiful.
