Writer's Block.

I sit in my chair with a blank page both on my screen, and in my head,
listening to the clicking and clacking of students typing their stories,
smelling the air, the unfamiliar scent of a classroom after summer,
looking around at people, books, and photographs,
I think about what to write and nothing comes to mind,
the bland taste of the air fills my mouth as I sigh,
I feel my foot tap against the floor,
writer’s block.
