A flock of birds is
A beautiful thing to observe, how they
Know so well their course and
Never are disturbed.

The family,
Eating geese for dinner,
Says Grace and
The youngest girl’s squeaky ‘amen’ makes the
Other children giggle.

The fire keeps them warm
While the flock heads ever onward
Toward the South.
