The World is silent
The world is quiet
All around me
The world whispers in my ear
A moment of silence comes in my life
No sound
Then the voices of the day come to life
My ear pounds
The voices of the day
A thing I don’t listen to when there is sound
Yet when there is silence
They burst through my ear
I try to hear
There are only parts I give my pay
In my ear
I hear the voices of the day

This poem was gentle, profound and I understood the feelings associated with the listening. Very good verse.
