Demons
The walls close in,
and I can't get out.
I kick and scream,
I pound and shout.
It's no use to try and fight.
I close my eyes,
embrace the night.
My breathing slows to a stop.
My brain twitches and gives a flop.
Before I die like I do each day,
I feel the horror creep through my veins.
It reaches my heart and I can taste the sin.
This is just like every other time:
I let the demon win.
