My Last Words
It's all over,
I won't pretend anymore.
No calls on the phone,
No knocks on the door.
No sneaking out to your house
late at night.
Watching King of the Hill
and resolving wrongs to right.
Because there is no more right,
it's just make believe.
You're faking this feeling,
and I'm faking apathy.
I want to keep trying, hoping for a better tomorrow.
Although, I know deep down
it'll lead to more sorrow.
So I guess it ends here,
We had a good run.
What can I say?
The movies were good,
the conversations fun.
Just to let you know,
I really did love you.
And just to let you know,
I still do.
It's only that,
you left me without a clue.
And that's why
this door is slamming.
