fly away
where's the uncle i used to know?
 you're not the same
 it clearly shows
 you are dying everyday
 but
the sunshine never leaves your face
happier then me on a good day

 vaccums working inside
 sucking out the life
a leech with an over bite

 internal chicken pox
 playing tag with your organs
i'm already picking the outfit for your funeral
 but
 you're smiling well

They say you're a hopeless case
 i think they're wrong
 you're still fighting
 you're alive
it's better then having to say goodbye

if the light should ever leave your face
i've got a flashlight to lead the way
to the person that i used to i've already said goodbye

 I hope one day
the tubes and wires will go away
 hospitals will fade to grey

like the birds way up high
 you'll sprout your wings
 to heaven you'll fly away
with your light leading you all the way
