Humane Nature

It is human nature to
Lie, cheat, and beg,
But is it not humane nature to love?
It is human nature to
Sneak, steal, and whine,
But is it not human nature to work hard?
It is humane nature to
Hit, scream, and to be jealous,
But is it not human nature to nurture?
It is also human nature to fight,
But no matter how strong we are as a whole,
Individually we still break, bleed, and die.
Humane nature is what influences us,
But let us not challenge it.
For when we do,
It will be a war that we lose.
