God and I
When I close
my eyes,
I can
see space.
I can name
every
constellation.
I can
count
every
star.
God and I
meet somewhere along
the Milky WAY.
I shamelessly
mention
all my blasphemous
words spewed.
He apologizes
for the hype
surrounding him.
"What is
the real
truth?" asks I.
He replies,
to my curious
figure.
"I ask
not for worshipping
words.
I can only hope
all my
creations
will be as
assured in their their
own belief
as you have
been.
I can only
hope
they can, too,
count the stars."
We both
part equally
mystified.
