Behind the door
I gaze inside
Wishing, hoping
Wondering, fixing
What am I doing wrong?
What can I do right?
I am suffering for you
I am hurting
Why can’t you see that?
Why can’t you hold me like those times before?
Now that I really need it
Why do you act different when all eyes are turned?
Why can’t you return the favor?
Of just being here for me?
I am here
With arms wide open
Waiting
Wondering when it will be my turn
When will you realize
I am more then what you see
On the outside
I used to have a heart
Before you broke it
I used to have hope
Before you stole it
I used to believe in fairy tale endings
Before you blinded me
of my happily ever after
