I wished for the moon
and it never came

I wished for the sun
but it only rained

I wished for the stars
they never appeared

I wished and wished
but no wishes came

This poem was written by my great-grandfather, Joe Maciejewski. I felt that he deserved to have his work read by someone other than family members

Hey, it's me, Lindsey. I just wanted to make it especially clear to everyone that this poem WAS NOT WRITTEN BY ME. My great-grandfather wrote it. All credit for this poem goes to him, so please direct your comments as such. 'Granny Joe' as he was called passed away before I could have a chance to know him. He left behind some beautiful poetry, and I thought he deserved to have his work shared with everyone.

Remember, I DID NOT WRITE THIS. I only submitted it for him. Thank you!
