I am mad at myself
For ever liking you
For wanting you
For dreaming about you
For ever loving you
Loving you felt so natural
You were perfect in every way
You had the looks
The musical talent
You were athletic
Smart, charming
The list goes on
You were the guy I always dreamed of
I didn’t realize you were the wrong guy till today
You left me standing out here alone
What kind of “right” guy would do that
You told me that it was over
That you didn’t want me
That you never loved me
That hurt more than you know
Now I am mad at myself
For ever loving you
