Call Me
Call me in the morning before the sun distorts the view
of your eyes and lights too clearly the darkness inside
Call me when you’re sleeping and the sound of your voice
is a whisper, like the lingering touch of your tongue
Call me when the illusion will not break and we can still
have innocence and be the youth in love
Before it was lost, before we gave in and the time
Was lost and we are nothing, nothing that we were before.
