Freedom Carriers
January 1, 2010
on paper, we are all the same
with a few flowing words,
we can all unite to our gain-
poetry knows no barriers
poetry knows no bounds
poets -the Freedom carriers-
find melodies within the ground
lifting, lilting melodies
speak like some above voice-
not to make enemies of our memories
we are reminded the power of choice
what a Power it is-
our own, to decide
-for ourselves-
what freedom truly means-
-if we so choose-
