hide such bare, sincere, -pure-
emotion?
why?
hide poetry,
the essence of sagacity?
no!
I won't!
it's wrong, disgraceful,
and everything in between-
and from what I've seen-

it happens.

The author's comments:
On one's info page, it shows your submissions, and if you have over a certain amount, it says "Hide This." I thought this was symbolic of the tragically too many poems-on TI and elsewhere- that for whatever reason never face the crowd.
By the way, sagacity means "being very aware". I saw it in a few Emily Dickinson poems, and liked it. Being an old word though, I thought I'd define it here.

i agree with you - it is incredibly sad that websites only show a certain amount of the writer's works; to me, it's criminal. people should be able to view every piece that someone has written so as they (the writer) can get more exposure.
