Beside the blue water,
Beneath the blue sky,
I looked up and glimpsed
sand.

Over the white waves,
Under the white clouds,
Two children stood building
a sandcastle.

Set on brown boulders,
Above the brown sand,
Towers rise from
a sandcastle on a cliff.

Atop the red stairs,
By the red-shirted boy,
I gazed up and up at
a sandcastle on a cliff.

Higher than the brown beach,
Astride the brown stones,
People gathered to see
a sandcastle.

Above the white seagulls,
Bathed in white light,
The children finished with
sand.

Inside a blue planet,
Elevated o’re the blue sea,
There always will be
a sandcastle on a cliff.
