yelling and screaming
another big fight
pushing and shoving
it's been a rough night
cursing and swearing
because she's done something wrong
kicking and screaming
as he goes after my mom
salty clear tears
run down her face
and read blood smears
cover every space
i throw one of my shoes
to give my mom a break
she looks at me like, what did you do
and says my kids can't be my bait
in a dark room i go
as if i can't hear
she thinks i wont know
because that's what she fears
another day at school
and i pretend that life's great
but i feel like a fool
because my life's at steak
