"à cœur vaillant rien d’impossible [nothing is impossible to a willing heart]" -French Proverb

Two dogs in a PT Cruiser
They watch and wait patiently,
In the suffocating heat,
For the Owner to return
And drive to Great House;
Waiting, hoping, knowing not;
Two dogs in a PT Cruiser.

The author's comments:
My dad and I had parked in a parking lot and looking to the left, I saw (what else?) two dogs in a PT Cruiser. I started writing this poem simply because the concept had an endearing quality. The finished product is an almost religious metaphor.
