The New You Is Evil, But The Old You Is Lovely
What can I do?
I’m only one person
But one person can make a difference
Only I want to make a difference in you.
I sincerely miss you and warm brown eyes
But they’ve been overcome by something
And they are not sweet at all because you’ve changed.
We occasionally exchange a word or two
But then you crawl back into your little cliché
Unable to talk about me because the real you is begging you not to
Because this demon that is here cannot withstand our love
But I know this isn’t you, and that your lost somewhere in this big world.
So what do I do now?
Move to another state and forget our connection to each other?
I could never do that
Because I have loved you since the beginning of our time
But deep down there is a disturbance in your personality.
I have reached out to you
And even tried to lead you to God
Because sometimes I think you have been captured by darkness
And held as prisoner
You’ve been screaming through those cold jail cell bars
Only to say that you love me, no matter what the fraud you says
All I want is my old boyfriend back
I will do everything, if anything, to make you come to your senses
I reach out my hand to save you from the darkness
But am met with the jail keeper instead
For now I am locked up
But am locked in your heart
