Revived upon Blue
Who was one to tell?
As the night crashed into stars
On one hot summer day
When the breeze was low
But the voices reached high
And with one slow sudden movement
It was certain
That I became aware
Of my certain surroundings
Who was one to tell?
Of all those around me
Some of old
Some of new
Those who had appealed to me
And those who remained a mystery
With eyes so deep and rich
That I could only imagine
What story they would revolve
Who was one to tell?
When we were all joined together
By the link of a circle
A chain of constant learning
A vision so enthralling
As hot became cold
And green became white
Revived upon blue
With no space between
Who was one to tell?
Once lost inside forever
Now became knowing
Of circumstances aligned with retreat
Of shadows on the walls
Struggling to remember
Of the silence so encumbering
And the years of the fading
Which seemed to spread beneath
The shoulders of the ridden
Who said there was no turning
Wind whipped by delight
Detailed by enclosure
Setting memories will remember
On one hot summer day.
